XL Vintage Murano Glass and Patinated Brass Wall Sconce, Italy, 1970s

XL vintage Murano glass and patinated brass wall sconce, produced in Italy during the 1970s.

This important wall light features a large sculptural Murano glass diffuser, distinguished by the exceptional quality and character of its glasswork. Carefully crafted patinated brass fittings complete the composition, bringing a warm metallic contrast to the glass.

Its generous proportions and elaborate glass surface give the sconce a strong decorative and sculptural presence. When illuminated, the Murano glass beautifully filters the five light sources, producing a warm, soft and diffused glow while revealing the depth and texture of the glass.

Equally striking switched on or off, this rare model works as both a functional light and a decorative glass sculpture, characteristic of sophisticated Italian lighting from the 1970s.
