Pair of vintage V 149/2 double wall sconces designed by Hans-Agne Jakobsson, produced in Sweden during the 1970s.
Each sconce combines an elegant brass structure with two smoked glass diffusers, creating a refined contrast between the warm golden tones of the metal and the darker translucent glass.
The V 149/2 is a classic example of Scandinavian lighting design, characterized by balanced proportions, elegant materials and a timeless silhouette. The combination of brass and smoked glass gives the pair a warm and sophisticated presence, equally decorative when illuminated or switched off.
When lit, the smoked glass softly filters the light, creating a warm and atmospheric glow while highlighting the reflections and natural patina of the brass.
Please note that the brass shows a few small cracks, visible in the photographs. They remain discreet once installed and do not affect the use or functionality of the sconces.
